IS THIS YOUR CHILD?

Learning Disabilities

Does your child struggle to learn, but you cannot identify the exact reasons? Is your child falling behind his or her classmates in school? Perhaps your child is getting extra resources in school, but there is not enough progress to prevent a further fall back. Some children have learning disabilities that are more generalised and harder to specify. If this sounds familiar, Neuron Learning Home may be the solution you've been looking for your child. It works on the underlying causes of reading and learning difficulties, which is what makes it so effective.

Some areas that Fast ForWord Home can help with include:

Language Difficulties or Delays. If your child is six years of age or older and has weak receptive (listening) or expressive (vocabulary, speech language structure, articulation) skills, Fast ForWord can help. It is important to address the underlying causes of language difficulties early, as weaknesses in language almost always carry over into reading problems later.

Delays in Executive Functions. Executive function is a higher level thinking and planning skill that is often delayed in students with processing deficits. Fast ForWord helps your child learn to complete processing tasks with automaticity (the ability to perform a task without occupying the mind with the low-level details required, so it becomes an automatic response pattern). This frees up capacity for higher level skill development. It also exercises the sequencing, working memory and processing skills integral to executive functioning.

“If you gave him a project, he couldn't figure out where to start. There was no way he could think of what's the beginning, the middle and the end. He did Fast ForWord 90 minutes/day over the summer. His ability to organize himself is totally different. His ability to look at a bigger project and then break it down - that changed dramatically.”
